Praise for Truegrit's common sense approach to winter gritting

Shorts Truegrit Ltd picked up a new customer last winter as the previous winter the then gritting service provider had taken it on themselves to grit 15 nights on the trot putting salt on top of salt which resulted in a road sweeper being required to deal with removing the salt.

If that wasn't bad enough to add salt to the wound (pardon the pun) when we were compared to how many times we had gone out in the same town during that period it had only be 6 times! In a nut shell in cold dry weather if there is still salt down from the previous night you don't need to grit again.
