We're focused on the environment

As part of Shorts Group, we’re committed to taking the best possible care of our environment. We’re concerned about climate change and we’re doing what we can to follow best green practices.

  • We only use all-natural salt. No man-made products ever go into the grit we spread on the ground. Furthermore, we use only British salt, so that we don't need to ship in any products from afar.
  • We have a nationwide network, thereby limiting the amount of travel distance from our property to yours. This limits our carbon emissions.
  • As a company, we recycle paper and other office products.
  • As part of Shorts Group, Ltd, we’re part of a company that recycles more than 250,000 tons of material every year.

About Shorts Truegrit

Shorts Truegrit, Ltd. is a recent addition to the Shorts Group, a company renowned for quality of service and value for money. This division was established in 2003 to cater for the growing need for a winter gritting service for commercially owned car parks, private roads and other areas outside local authorities’ responsibilities.

Since its inception, Shorts Truegrit has expanded its gritting services from the Home Counties to nationwide. We have done this by establishing a growing network of territory operators working within a sensible radius from their respective bases. All operators are supplied with equipment to grit vehicle roadways, car parks and pedestrian walkways.
